Normally two examination are conducted by the College in one
academic session for the +2 students to quality for promotion
or for Council examination in the name of Annual or Test, as
the case may be.
For Degree Course there shall be at least one test
examination likely to be held in December of , every
year.
There shall be unit test (subject wise) at the end of
each month.
There shall be class promotion exam. for +2 1st year
students at the end of the session.
The exact date, programme, duration, number of papers, full
marks, etc. will be notified sufficiently before the
commencement of the examination.
Wilful absence from the examination shall make a student able
for fine or detention. However, the Principal can grant
exemption from examination, if he is satisfied, subject
to production of Medical Certificate from a doctor having
M.B.B. S. Degree.
Malpractice and or misconduct in the examination will be
punished with fine, expulsion / detention as deemed fit.
Higher Secondary Examination (+2)
The Council conducts Annual H.S. Examination for +2 IInd
year Students. For Higher Secondary 30% in theory and
40% in Practical are the pass marks. However, for aggregate
35% is necessary.. For 1st division 60% 2nd division 50%
and 3rd division 35% marks are necessary. Subsequent
upon abolition of conduct of 2nd / Supplementary C.H.C.
Examination since 1998, the Council is conducting an
alternative Examination named "Instant Examination" from 1999.
Three Year Degree There will be three
examination in 3 yr. degree course named as. F.U.E., S.U.E. and Final
University Exam. The subjects marks are distributed as follows :
Class / Division and Distinction shall be awarded only at the
end of the 3rd year on the basis of combined results. For pass
Course the pass marks in theory is 30% and practical is 40%.
The aggregate mark is 36% in Core subjects and 30% in aggregate
in other subjects.
Distinction will be awarded if the candidate secures 50% in
aggregate of pass and elective subjects in first appearance.
For Honours 60% is 1st Class and 45% is 2nd Class (in the
Honours subject), for Honours with Distinction 50% in Comp.,
pass & Elective in subjects other than Honours subject
in the first appearance.
In a subject having practical, a candidate must secure 40%
marks in each practical paper at Part-I, II and III
examination separately.
Candidate who fails to retain Honours marks but have secured
the pass marks and aggregate for pass curse shall be declared
to have passed without Honours.
A candidate may re-appear only once in subjects / Papers in
which he has obtained fail marks or has failed to retain 45%
marks in any honours zv
Paper within two years of first appearance to clear the papers.
A candidate who fails in aggregate has to re appear in any
paper or papers of his choice to pass the aggregate within
two years of first appearance (registration) to a maximum of
two additional chances on payment of prescribed fees.
The University examination results of each year will not be
published but the marks will be sent to the Colleges for
information of the candidates.
College Examination :

at the end of the session. Students for Partial Non-
appearance or full appearance will be detained.

ODISHA ACT 2 OF 1998
THE ODISHA CONDUCT OF EXAMINATION ACT, 1998
AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR PENALACTION FOR
ADOPTION OF UNFAIR MEANS AT CERTAIN
EXAMINATIONS HELD IN THE STATE AND OTHER
MATTERS CONCERNED THEREWITH
It is enacted by the Legislature of the State of Orissa in the thirty
ninth year of the republic of India as follows :
Restriction on Fake Papers :
No person, shall procure, possess distribute or otherwise
publicize or cause to be publicized any question paper as being
the one or purporting to be one that is to be given or likely
to be given at ensuing recognised examination.
Prohibition of loitering etc. near Examination centre etc. :
No person, save in the discharge of his duties shall during the hours when a recognised examination is conducted at any recognised examination centre or where any evaluation or tabulation work relating to a recognised examination is done.
Two hours preceding the commencement of such examination evaluation or tabulation work on any date on which such examination is conducted or evaluation or tabulation work is done.
Refusal of duties connected with examination prohibited :
No person assigned with invigilation work or superintendence of any
rcognised examination at any centre or any other work connected with
such examination or evaluation, tabulation or publication of results
of such examination shall refuse, save un- der circumstances beyond
his control perform the work or du- ties so assigned.
Penalty : Whoever contravences any of the
provisions of Section 3 of 8 shall, on conviction be punished
with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three months
or with fine which may ex- tend to three thousand rupees but
shall, not be less than five hundred rupees or both.
Investigation etc. :
An offence under this Act. shall not be investigated by an
office below the rank of a sub-inspector of Police.
All offence under this Act shall be cognizable and non bailable.
