Junior Red Cross Society is organised for the purpose of inculcating in the
youth of the country, the ideals of peace and the practice of service
especially in relation to the case of their own health and that of others.
It was formed in this College. The youth should understand and accept civic
and human responsibility and should cultivate a spirit of friendful helpfulness
towards the children and youth of the countries.
The aims of Junior Red Cross are :
1. The promotion of health.
2. Service to the sick and the suffering and
3. International friendliness.
Membership of Junior Red Cross is opened to boys and girls of all classes who
desire to participate in its various activities.
The following Societies provide scope for intellectual improvement of students:
1. Arts Society.
2. Science Society
3. Commerce Society.
1. Objects :
- To arrange debates, seminars, reading papers as well as to invite
eminent persons to address the members.
- To undertake such other literary and extra curricular activities
as are decided upon by the Executive committee and approved by the
Principal.
2. Management: The Management of the affairs of the
societies shall be vested in the Executive Committee consisting of :
- The President - Principal (Ex-officio)
- The Vice-President nominated by Principal.
- Secretary to be elected from among the members.
- An Assistant Secretary to be elected from among the members.
- Class representative one from each of the class nominated by the
students of the class.
3. Functions of the Society Secretary are :
- To convene meetings.
- To record the minutes of the meeting.
- To organise function and activities as decided upon by the Executive
Committee and approved by the Principal.
- To maintain accounts and to submit through the Vice-President a
statement of expenditure together with vouchers for all money
received from the College.
- To requisition through the Vice-President for withdrawal of funds of
the society.
- To perform such other functions as are assigned to him by the
Vice-President.
4. The Assistant Secretary shall assist the Secretary and act as Secretary in
the absence of the later.
5. Pay post of the office - bearer can be filled up by the Principal through
nomination in case vacancy arises.
6. In all matters the decision of the Principal shall be binding and final.
