The college Library normally opens at 8.30 A.M. to 12.30 P.M. &
1.30 P.M. to 4.30 P.M.
Every student will be issued a Library Card Issue and return of
Books will be made through the Library Card.
If a student loses his / her Library Card another card will be
issued when she / he submits an application with a payment of
Rs. 10/- along with an undertaking. Loss of Library Card must be
immediately reported to the Librarian. However misuse or lost
card will make the original owner liable.
The maximum number of Books that may be issued to the various
classes of borrowers like teaching staff, non teaching staff,
students are as follows :
A member of the office staff-04 (Except text book)
A class IV employee -02 -do-
Note : Member of Teaching and Non teaching Staff are required to return books after 15days from the date of issue.

Note : Issue of Books depends upon the availability.
Book(s) shall be issued and returned within the Prescribed days and
stipulated period allowed to a student borrower. The stipulated
period is 15 days.
Normally when the date of return falls on an authorized holiday it
can be returned to the Library on the next working day without fine.
Students who do not return the books within the permissible time
(15 days) a fine of 10 Paise per book for each day of delay will be
charged on him and in no case fine will be reduced.
Borrowers are required to return all books to the library before
the college is closed for a long vacation or on the date notified
for this purpose failing which suitable action will be taken
against the borrower.
Every borrower must examine the condition of the book(s) before
they are issued. In case of mutilation/damage discovered later,
the presumption will be realized fro him/her.
Besides fine, a defaulting borrower shall not be allowed to
borrow books.
Students are required to use the library counter only for
transaction of books.
Staffmembers and persons specially permitted by the Principal
can go beyond the library counter & inside the library. No one
should enter the library - rooms with personal books or other
belongings.
Books of reference, Courses of studies, rare books etc. shall
not be normally issued for use at home without special
permission from the Principal.
Strict silence is to be observed inside the library premises and
it should not be used for any other purpose. Splitting and smoking
inside the library are strictly forbidden.
A person who borrows books from the library is supposed to have
read the library rules and to have agreed to abide by them. Ignorance
of these rules will not be excused for the breach of any one of
them.
The librarian is to submit a report every year on the following points.
Cataloguing of new books.
Binding of torn books, journals and magazines.
Annual stock taking report
(in the month of April)
Students Reading Room : Students reading room attached to library
is available and is kept open from 10.30 A.M. Students are advised to
use the facilities from 10.30 A.M. to 4.30 P.M. maintaining discipline
& silence.
Identity Card and Library Card are to be produced at the Library
Counter if a student wants to utilise the Reading Room.
No teacher/student is permitted to borrow any text book other
than his / her own subject. In case any reference book is required
from other subject one has to obtain permission. Issue of text
books to non-teaching staff members is subject to per- mission.
